+1 and I'm happy to see more vets coming out of the woodwork the last couple of days, after basically being told I was alone last week. Its sad that my prediction of coaches leaving is growing in number each day.

I don't know, what don't you like about the new engine?

Sure its different than the old one, but its not like that one was 100% perfect.

This engine has ended the dominance of the press, which I always found to be kind of unreasonable how many steal => layup events it created. And it does follow distribution a lot more.

Its pretty hard to have a totally bug-free launch of anything. Remember how crazy potential was in the first ~2 seasons? Now I can't imagine going back to the old system, the new one is so much better.

I don't think it's the changes that really ****** people off. It's the fact that they didn't have it in relatively working order upon release. And it's also the fact that, from what beta testers have said in the forums, the beta testing was a joke. New things will always need tweaking upon release, but how can we give them the benefit of the doubt when the testing ahead of release was so ****-poor?

That's my biggest problem with the new engine, anyway.

But that really isn't the engine's problem. If people want to leave because of the way WIS management handled the update, that is fine, but give the real reason, not because 'the new engine sucks', even though it really hasn't been in play long enough to draw complete conclusions on that, and the old engine was nothing really special, just familiar.

Yeah exactly acn. I was not pleased at all when Allen was restarted and the first few games just were completely crazy, but the current engine isn't "worse" than the old engine, just different.

I do want the recruit generation fixed a little (where did the Puerto Rican D1 players and all the Mexicans go?)

And HCA seems a little powerful compared to the old engine, but who knows.

Great point. In all honesty, I am sad that Wooden is almost done and moving to the new engine, but that absolutely has more to do with me knowing better how that engine works.

The changes made my team worse with the press differences but most of the tweaks are for the better. I like the changes overall.

I asked myself this. I said "Self! Is this engine better than the last one?" Self and I agreed that it is. The bugs are magnified by people's frustrations over change as well as the rollback of 2 worlds. Rolling back was a bad choice. Are things wrong with the new engine? Yes. Were more things wrong with the old engine? Yes.

I believe we got used to the old inexplicable things and knew how to work around them. We haven't come to that point on the new engine yet, but like anything in life or business its not gonna ever be perfect.

Business works like this: Ready, Fire, Aim!

Life works like this: Holy ****! Who are they and why do they keep shooting at us?

I'm not gonna lecture you on how or where to spend your money, that's your call. I hope you'll reconsider Kevin, you are a good part of the game. After all, I play HD for the people who enjoy a good verbal sparring session more than I do for the stats or the games. As long as I can keep annoying those who are easily incensed I am good to go.

I am liking the new engine more as the season moves forward. My team is terrible right now but getting better as I Game plan better. In the old engine I had some bad teams that actually played well. I could put a team on the court and just let it go. I can't do that with the new engine. With this new engine I can see I have to recruit better and spend more time game planning. That is more realistic and better.

the new engine has been so hyped, that it has a lot of us with a sense of disappointment. The new engine may eventually be better than the old one, which had its flaws, but after all the testing there is still no completely finished product which we are paying for.

Even though my team playing under the new engine (New Haven) is playing better, I don't like it. It does not seem significantly better than the old engine. For every problem it addressed, it created at least one new one.

Haven't recruited under the new system yet, but I imagine that won't be as fun either.

And as many have said, no way should we have to pay to beta test for them. We should be seeing free seasons galore until they get this worked out.

I like the new engine for the most part - Scoring is up, there's more room to gameplan (I have a perimeter PF scoring tons of points from 3P land). Fouls are a bit high, but they were too low in the old engine. Foul shooting is very important in RL NCAA.

I'm seeing way fewer 45-33 slowdown battles, and that makes me very happy. I think the new recruits will make the new engine seem even better. The old one was broken.

The problem is that there's always a new tweak/update. It makes the current season not feel legitimate. Gameplanning changes as the engine changes. That's frustrating for a lot of the veteran coaches that have been through many different permutations of this game. I understand the frustration, but I like the product too much to want to quit. That's just me.

why would recruiting be less fun?

Recruiting has been fun since potential was introduced. It was more fun to imagine what I could make a player into, as opposed to knowing what he'd become.
