I just had an offday and my number 1 pitcher is at 100 percent right now. Im starting my number 3 pitcher next game, then 4, then either my 1 again or my 5th.

Is skipping your 5th starters starts a smart idea. Why or why not.

Thanks

Why wouldn't you want to give your better pitchers more starts and your lesser pitchers fewer starts, if the schedule and their fatigue allows?

I do it all the time.

Nice. Just making sure there wasnt some long term horrible effect or something lol.

I usually get 3-4 "extra" starts from my better pitchers. It's not much but, if you fall a game short of the playoffs, it might be the difference.

It's nice to have a 'stud' you can start every 4th day(30+ DUR, 90+ STA). Those guys are real staff savers.
