Good hitter or only decent? Topic

I have a player I'm looking at that has some great ratings in most stats, but I was wondering about his splits:

Contact Power Vs L Vs R Batter Eye
75 85 60 62 80

So I'm still figuring this sutff out, but it seems like he would be a pretty good hitter, just maybe not lead the league in average?  Would it be reasonable to expect his average to be around .280 or .290 with a decent obp?  Or am I way off?  Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

This post has a rating of , which is below the default threshold.
Solid hitter. Btw, what position does he play?

2B, but not sure if his defensive ratings are good enough, so might end up in the corner outfield.

He will be very good. Splits in the 60's aren't bad at all, especially if a player has contact, power, and eye like this guy. All-Star bat in my opinion especially if he's a 2B.

I would guess solid, maybe All Star at 2B, but probably not at COF. I'd guess his career line in a neutral park would look something close to .270 / .350 / .480.

Or he could go .320 .395 .530.

Sure, he could do anything. If you're saying that's your best guess as to what's most likely then you could just come out and say that. I'd bet my guess will come a lot closer than yours.

I just used a crude formula I have for estimations for a quick answer, but when I went to doublecheck against similar players, the number I found seemed to be a tick higher, more like .280 / .350 / .500.

Depends LH/RH andlevel of opposition, would estimate in a neutral park closer to your original estimate for career line.

He's a good hitter.  If he can field he's a great 2B....but if you put him in leftfiled with nearly 2B numbers you get a very nice bat, who will hit in the neighborhood of 30+ HR's (more some seasons) AND walk AND field his position like a gold glover.  Can I have him?

Here's a guy in one of my worlds that seems to be a pretty solid comp.  Right handed bat, plays in Fresno which leans towards a pitchers park, but isn't extreme

.800ish OPS, aside from 1 season, been pretty consistant for 25-30 homers, 270ish homers.  Pretty solid overall, I'd definently take him.  He may not win MVP, but he'll hit in the middle of your order and produce consistant results.
