Promised minutes/start for ineligible player Topic

Quick question-- I'm a DII team looking to sign an ineligible player. Let's say I promise him the starting position (or minutes), he signs, becomes ineligible, and misses his freshman year. I know he shouldn't get angry about not having his promises fulfilled, but I just want to make sure the engine won't cause him to get angry about playing time even though he's academically ineligible. If someone could please verify, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks!

Sorry to bump, but this seems like a very simple question and recruiting in Tark ends tonight. If this guy remained on my team but was ineligible to play, would the engine still erroneously cause him to get upset about playing time?

I think he won't get mad.  I also don't know if you get anything for offering him a start since he knows he can't play.

Yeah you get value for it, no he won't get mad. One thing to worry about is sometimes they do become eligible and then you'd have to honor it.

Thanks guys, much appreciated! Yeah furry, that is a risk, though even if he became eligible he'd probably be good for at least 10 min a game so I might just promise that to him.

if he stays ineligible the promises dont matter

becoming eligible during the actual recruiting process can happen but is rare
