I wonder what part the engine is missing in deciding tie breakers then. I'm assuming the RPI part.

most conferences only go to tiebreakers for tournament seeds, you get to share the regular season title

Oh, I've never seen that before. We had same conf record, overall record, 1-1 vrs each other the only difference was he was the #1 RPI and I was the #2 rpi. We both won the conf championship, but he  got the 1 seed I got the 2.

so what is the problem,  nippy?

i allways thought rpi should come before overall record.
if you go by overal, it just gives the advantage to the teams that have easy nonconfs

I thought that he would have been the outright conf championship because he beat me in the tie breaker, that is what its there for... Right? I just never saw 3 confrence championships in HD before. I also haven't looked, so maybe it does happen.

Heh, you'll love this one then.  In season 20 in Rupp, the CACC had FIVE teams who were considered "conference champions".  Three teams in one division tied with a 9-7 record and two teams in the other division also tied, so all five teams "earned" the designation of conference champions.
