I'll give you one guess who won CPOtY.

Rucker was better fo Reb and scoring, and blocks
Howe was  better  at shooting,  FT%,  assists, turnovers and steals.

I'd pick Rucker by a moderate margin...I'm guessing Howe won?

 In the early days, you could pretty much look at scoring and predict who would win the awards.  Then they added a factor for championship teams, which overcompensated.  I saw a team with all 5 players on the 1st team, and 3 more receiving mentions.  It's better now, but could still use some tweaking.

Doesn't look that bad to me, actually.  Gross scoring average isn't all there is to it.  Look at Howe's shooting percentages, especially given his number of threes, and his turnover rate, low fouls. . .  How has some ridiculous scoring efficiency.  His EFG is 71%. . . . .for a guy taking that many shots.

IN other words, while you could easily argue Rucker shoudl have won, it wasn't exactly a completely ridiculous travesty for Howe to.

If I could have one of these guys, with these stats on my team next year, I would take Howe in a second.  Crazy efficient, but Rucker does have an argument for quantity over quality.   I would have voted for Howe though, his quantity of 19.4ppg, 3.5reb, 2.7 assists and low TO rate would do it for me.

In real life, between these 2 guys, doesn't team finish factor greatly? 

Let's just hypothesize that one of them is 2010 Landesberg and the other 2010 Scheyer-- doesn't Scheyer win every time in RL, no matter which stats are his?

Because he has a 13 per, duh!

I can't imagine why he was allowed to shoot 47 3-pt shots.

Problem with this argument is, Rucker's team went 15-1 in conference, while Howe's went 14-2 in the same division.  Rucker's team won the division, Howe's was runner-up.

I went 15-1 in conference, beat the only other 15-1 team in conference, was ranked #1 for basically the entire conference season, and didn't win CCOY.  Does that effect prestige? 

Yes they really are f.'d up. In my conference I had this www.whatifsports.com/hd/PlayerProfile/Awards.aspx guy get 1st team all conference and 3rd team all american. His backup www.whatifsports.com/hd/PlayerProfile/Awards.aspx got 2nd team all conference and 2nd team all american. Does that make sense? Why the difference in all american?

Young was better.     

I don't think CCOY affects team prestige, does it?

 No it doesn't affect prestige....only your team play, especially in post-season
