Signed one last year in knight, only to see after the season changed over he's a sophmore now? I had never signed an ineligible guy before so...do they really lose that year of eligibility? That doesn't make sense to me

think so, he will be offered it after senior year... what level u coaching?

as long as his cumulative GPA is above a 2.7 or so (check the FAQ to be sure), he'll earn a 5th year and his status for that year will be reflected as "Sr/5th Yr", so you can still get 4 years of playing out of him.   But he'll still whine like a sophomore this season if he doesn't get enough PT even though this is his first year on the court.
