"Now don't hate me, but I accidentally stared too long at his girlfriend (how was I supposed to know it was his girlfriend)? Anyway, she made a big scene. There's no way he's going to even consider Rochester now. I say move on."

Does this just mean he's not interested?  Or does it mean nothing?

Pretty sure that means he's not interested. I haven't seen that one before though, so I'm not 100% sure. I would say I'm about 95% sure though.
