In the Naismith DIII tournament, I was struck by the fact that teams whose first letter is either 'L' or 'M' won 9 of 11 first round games. It occurred to me that we've been of the wrong mindset....Ratings and IQ don't matter. It'sthe spelling of your team name that determines your success in the new engine!!!!

Imagine my excitement when I realized that I coach Mars Hill and Letorneau in other worlds!!!

There does seem to be a glitch in DII, however.  The 'L' and 'M' teams were a combined 2-9.  I've sent in a ticket.

sweet, I've got Montevallo and Minnesota State, Moorhead!

(but I hope that al's ticket works, since they're both D II)

Minnesota State, Moorhead.....TWO 'Ms'!   There's no need to play the NT...you're got it in the bag as long as you don't face Lees-McRae or Le Moyne.

Man I hope you're right, because I'll take any edge I can get for my Maine-Presque Isle team against 30-0 Salve Regina tonight!

Well that certainly explains how my #2 seed Framingham St. lost to #15 seed Millikin. I thought it was just an upset but now I understand completely.
