anyway to preveiw the cost of each state before clicking on it and effecting your budget?

yes, when you highlight the state, the cost shows up on the left in the "pending states" section.  you do not actually buy (or pay for) the states until you click on the "scout these states" button in that section.

I'm a new coach taking over a DIII school in Tark. Are these good investments?

Great investments PJ

fss is a must

thanks. As a DIII coach, should I pretty mich only get it for my home state? Or bordering states depending on the distance?

what state will you be in?  If it's RI, then get states around it.  If it's TX, only get TX.

I'm pretty sure I took St. John's in Minnesota. But I went back and forth between a handful of schools and since I reserved the team, I haven't been able to figure out which it was. I haven't figured out a way to look at the teams in that world(Tark) again. At what point overnight/tomorrow will the coaching signups actually take place so I can take an in depth look at my team again? right now, it still says I have no teams

job apps just ended so your team should show up when you wake up tomorrow morning.  ps-you shoulda taken a team in the ODAC.  best conference in d3 (it also happens to be my conference).

Yeah I would say in general you want to spend between 10-20% of your budget on FSS at the lower divisions.  In D1 maybe more like 5-10%.

to be honest I didn't even think about conference when I picked my school. I picked based off the school's prestige and returning roster.

I don't buy any FSS states until after I've done my preliminary search. I use the filters and find potential candidates based on certain criteria by position. Once I've narrowed the field then I know what states to consider buying. A lot of times my school's state is not included. This way I don't waste money on a state that doesn't have anyone I want.

+2  No need if I'm not liking any players in Colorado to have paid to scout it.
