sims should recruit locally only. it creates an imbalance when one area has say 70% humans and another has 50%, that 50% area should at least have to beat on the sims a little more than everybody else, but they don't. also, when a guy leaves say texas, who was a good recruiter, now all texans celebrate because the retarded sim goes and targets the top 3 recruits in the country, each of which there is approx .001% chance of them signing. and most likely, none of those are in texas. when a good coach leaves his school should continue to compete with the same people. i don't really care that the sims are so bad at recruiting (but it is worth mentioning the effort it takes to overcome sims of different prestiges seems out of whack). but i would like to see them recruit regionally like the rest of us.

DOn't know about regionally ONLY< but it should definitely be regionally PREFERENTIALLY.  When i take over a team that has been long time sim coached I find its an amazing coincidence if they have even one player from their home state, which seems odd.

Been preaching something like this for years.  The game was designed for 100% humans.  The way sims recruit also blows up the balance between how recruits are generated (by school with no regard for baseline prestige or who is going to target them) and who recruits them.  In fact, any item that affects recruiting, messes with that dynamic.  I also just don't think changing items (which had already been done preseble) with the "Let's just try this or this" mindset will end with a positive result.  Clearly sims need to recruit more like humans.  How it ever passed the acid test is surprising to me.

I agree with some form of alteration to how the sims recruit. Letting them pick over the nation as if 250 miles away makes no sense when virtually every corner of the globe has an abundance of kids still sitting in it at recruiting's end thanks to the geographic breakdown of recruit generation.

I'd also like to see something done to stop the madness of Sim teams with 4, 5, 6 or more walk ons that seems to be a trend since the new engine was rolled out. I did a main page thread on this last season in Naismith D-III and was told it probably had something to do with the recent free season deal. Well, now we're in year 2 after the switchover...I haven't compliled all the data because I've been on the road going from one regional baseball tournament to another...but with about 20 percent of the sims cataloged, it looks like once again we're trending to another season where roughly 1/4 to 1/3 of the Naismith world is going to be comprised of sim teams with 4+ walkons at D-III.

Or at least improve the quality of walkons a bit.
