IFA's and their lying, cheating agents Topic

Well, maybe their agents lie and cheat.

When you get a message from the agent of an IFA saying that another team haw topped your offer, what are the chances that he is just trying to get more money out of you?

Is there ALWAYS another team bidding....or is it just an agent acting like an agent?

always true

This would be a cool change though.  Right now its cut and dry, you know whether your leading or not.  If you didnt know it would make the bidding process more realistic, because I doubt most real life GMs know if they are the high bidder for sure

I used to wonder that too.  Not just IFAs,but also offseason free agents.  But apparently, the 1 symbol next to their name always tells the truth right?  Someone always has the 1, and thatperson is the only one in the lead.

correct

In real life, though, there are also other ways to find out whether other teams are bidding (sources, media, rumor mill, etc.). So I think the way it is now balances things out fairly well.

Agreed.  I also had previously suggested as a feature a rumor mill.  Its accuracey could depend on a new budget category or could just be random that everyone woudl see the same rumors.

I think it would be an interesting change if IFA bidding was done with a single closed bid process, perhaps over a 48 hour period. You would get one shot to simply offer the most you are willing to spend. For the teams with huge prospect budgets, they would have no idea who else can see the player and would have to put out more money if they want to be certain they can land the guy as opposed to now where they only outspend who they have to and have enough to land a 2nd stud.

I like that too. Or have it like in RL, bid once to win the opportunity to negotiate with him.
