If you were to move up from div 3 to div 2, would you be able to reclaim your div 3 team and play both in the same world?

The risk is that an existing coach will claim your team before the new coaches (i.e. your new alias) is allowed to sign up

Then you'll need to buy the new guy a WIS GC to get him to switch teams with you.

If being able to get your old team with another ID is a top priority (as opposed to, say, simply getting the best possible DII team), you should wait to apply for a DII job until the last cycle.
