After all the FI slots are filled, you can usually find a guy who is still demanding a major league FI job and needs to improve his fielding rating; hiring him at 1b has worked a couple times - and a couple times it hasn't and I got "stuck" with the highest rated 1b coach remaining on the market. Not sure if that's advisable since the re-vamp of the coach hiring system.
