What type of distro works best against... Topic

2-3 Zone
Does it work better to get the ball more better perimeter shooters or just stick with the better scorers?

3-2 Zone
Does it work better to try to get the ball inside or again just stick with the scorers?

Press
What distro will limit the turnovers against the press? Do you try to get the ball to good passers or ball handlers or just scorers? Do you drastically limit distro to players who seem turnover-prone?

Man-to-man
I know you need to look to exploit individual match-ups, but how should you set up the distro if there are no major mismatches? Also, if there is a good mismatch, how heavily can you exploit it in the distro without it hurting?

More importantly:
Against each defense, are people having better luck heavily weighting the distro towards one or two good scorers or somewhat balancing it out between 3 or more players? Against each defense, who do you really want to get the ball to?

Sorry, this seems like a lot of questions, but in this new engine I feel like I'm a newbie all over again. I just cannot seem to find the right gameplanning that will work. If you have the time, more specifics or examples from one of your teams or for my team would be greatly appreciated.

2-3 Zone: Your best outside shooters

3-2 Zone: Post up, especially if you have a SF that has a strong inside game. I've even had success putting a 4 at SF against the 3-2 and pounding it inside.

Press: I try to put a smaller line-up on the court and keep the ball in the hands of my guards if possible. That said, if I have a strong inside game I won't totally get away from it.

Man-to-man: If the def. players are close to the same I strictly go with my best offensive players. I play a fast paced motion off. and a FCP. I usually play 12 deep and try to wear teams down, and often play an inside-out game. I have 1 strong inside player and 2 middle of the line post players, plus 2-3 good - very good outside shooters. I look for inside advantages and set my shooters on +1 (space them out at the 3 pt. line). To do this you need good passing bigs, which I have. It works for me as I led the nation in scoring last season.

Over all I seldom weigh heavily on 1-2 players, though I have, at times, against a m-2-m when I have a big advantage. Good luck!

i wouldn't think about distro with individual defenses at all...............its all about one on one matchups.
