Can you give me some input on who I should be starting with Aurora? I'm trying to move towards the Dribble Drive Motion Offense. Ideally, I would have a pure point guard with elite speed, ballhandling, and passing to distribute the ball. I would also start a sort of 'combo' guard with elite ath, BH, and LP(for a guard). Coming off the bench would be a spot up shooter to keep defenses honest and play good D. SF would be someone also with elite ath, and ideally either proficient shooting or rebounding to go along with defense. PF and C would need to grab a ton of boards, block some shots, and be athletic. Scoring is a bonus here, not the goal.
Anyways, here's what I'm thinking I'll do with the guys I have on my roster. It isn't tailored to the DDMO yet, but this is the roster I inherited, so it's what I have to work with.
PG - Wendell - looks like a classic distributor in the DDMO. Not exactly elite speed, but very good BH and P. He will certainly be a pass first PG. After Wendell I've got Curcio as the primary backup. This team isn't going to win much this year, so I am developing Curcio as much as possible. Cork, the other freshman, will redshirt this year to create some spacing with so many guards,
SG - As the 'combo' guard, I have Miller. Great Ath and Spd, can shoot some, and plays good D. And handles the ball as well. Unfortunately, no LP game to speak of which doesn't fit well with the DDMO but oh well. He plays 3rd string PG as well. Coming off the bench is Burgess, as the spot up bench shooter I mentioned. He will play a lot of minutes. Gibbs is third in the rotation here.
SF - I have Morris starting, then Burgess as the backup again, and finally Gibbs. This is where I'm least confident in my rotation. I only have Morris starting because of his good ath, and I'd like to find a few more minutes for Gibbs somewhere.
PF - Matta and then Kirby. I'm very excited about Kirby's potential - he should see plenty of minutes this year.
C - Good core stats for these guys, but poor ath. I have Hungerford starting with Krup and Barker backing him up.
Keep in mind that I have not yet updated the depth chart for the games yet - I got caught up with work stuff and forget the season started last night(dumbass), so the season stats do not at all match the depth chart I just described. What do you think?
