How do they calculate SOS? I ask this because another team in my conference coached by SIMAI has a better SOS than me, and I have no idea how it's possible.

Well, I'm too lazy to add it all up, but it doesn't look like the actual winning %s of their OOC opponents were tooooo much worse than yours.  They played Butler twice.  They played Belmont twice.  You played Loyola twice.  You played them, they played you.

Is SOS only opponents records?

My quick calculations show that, in non-conf play, your opponents were, collectively,  82 games over .500 while theirs were 45 games over.
But, in conference play, your opponents were 118 games below .500 while they were only 16 games below.

I'm not sure is WIS includes your opponents' opponents in the SOS tally or not ( I think they do).  But, regardless, your SOS is rightly worse.

#350 World Information Q. What is SOS?
  A. SOS stands for strength of schedule. It's calculated as 67% opponents' winning percentage (OWP) and 33% opponents' opponents' winning percentage (OOWP), the same ratio as in the RPI formula.
