In my next game my best defensive player is my pg and their best offensive player is their sg. Is there any defensive advantage for me to switch my PG to SG on the depth chart. Mt SG passing and Bh stats arnt muc worse than my PG Any advice is appreciated

I do that fairly often. Don't know if it's necessarily effective. I'll leave that commentary to more veteran coaches.

I'm more of a defensive minded coach and match my best defenders against the opposition's best offensive players all the time.  Like Rutley said above, I don't know how much of an effect it has, but I feel like it does better my chances.

If you play zone it doesn't make a difference.  If you play man it makes a lot of difference.  If you play press somewhere in between...  Since it looks like you play man I would definitely do it unless it puts an important scorer against their best defender.
