Simmy Job Advice Topic

Could somebody help translate what the job advice means for me?  Thanks in advance.  I'm primarily trying to figure out if I should be staying at D2 to get these jobs or if I need to settle for a lesser D1 program to eventually have a chance at climbing to these jobs.

The way I'm reading this, I can't jump from D2 to either Wichita or Idaho State.  But if I were to stay at D2 a bit longer would the BCS schools and/or St. Joseph's be possible?  Or do I need to make the jump to a C level program in a non-BCS conference regardless?

If it helps, here is my resume: http://www.whatifsports.com/hd/CoachProfile/Default.aspx?uid=558529&wid=6

Wichita State (B+ prestige): Your recent success is not quite the level of this job.  Post-season consistency at this level of basketball is something they are looking for.

Idaho State (B prestige): You need to show them you can dance CONSISTENTLY at this level and the job is yours.

Washington State (B prestige): You're gonna need to keep working a while longer to generate interest from this school.

St. Joseph's (B- prestige): The AD told me that experience is very important to them and you're not quite strong enough in that area.

Purdue (C prestige): You're gonna need to to keep working for another year or so to generate interest from this school.

Pittsburgh (C- prestige): You're gonna need to coach another season before you can get a job in this range.

beached, because you've always been such a gentleman with me, I'd be glad to help.

It is possible to jump from DII to this caliber of program. However, it will take a good bit more experience and continued success to achieve that, as you don't have a lot of DII experience yet. A quicker path would be success at a mid-level DI program. A few seasons of success there and getting they type of job you list above wouldn't be a problem.

Thank you, and have a wonderful day.
