I've been winning a battle for a 5* recruit since the 10:00am cycle yesterday (maybe before).  Signing started last night at the 7:00pm cycle.  He still hasn't signed but all his responses are saying he can't wait...yet he is waiting.

My question is, do top caliber players take longer to decide?  (I'm a first timer for a player like this)

It has nothing to do with how good he is. It means you do not have a big enough lead yet in the battle.

What does his last "scholarship" message say or what does FSS say.  He may be saying that stuff in a normal response message, but you might not really be in the lead at all if FSS says he is struggling between the teams or if his last scholarship message didn't specifically say he would sign with you.
