what division are you talking? lets see... ok, only one team :) division 2 it is.
anyway, based on the info you provided, its pretty much a wash. you can be extremely successful with either. almost off of my success is with the 2 pairings you mentioned there, so i will try to give you a little insight into the differences, and then you can decide.
the biggest difference to me between motion and triangle is that motion is slightly more effective with a well rounded offensive team, and triangle is slightly more effective with a more specialized team. you can push a player harder in triangle, and get more out of a star. where as motion better utilizes a team of 5 great offensive players.
with the new engine, my belief is it is easier to play triangle/press than motion/press. with so many "specialized" players out there, it seems very difficult to build a well balanced motion offense team. also, in division 2, you can't just get players who are maxed at everything, like you can (or used to be able to, at least) in d1. so for example, at point guard, you might have 2 great options - but one has great per and less bh/pass and one has better bh/pass/spd. in triangle, there is little doubt (in my mind, at least), you take the pg with better spd/bh/pass. but in motion, for a balanced offense, the opposite might be true. or at least, its harder to make the trade off. same goes with a great rebounding big who has 15 low post. in motion, i feel you can have 1 non offensive player on the floor before you start hurting yourself significantly. so you can have 1 of those 2 kinds of players but once you have both together, you are probably better with triangle.
that said, poor lp might hurt you slightly more in triangle than in motion. i am not positive on that but it is probably true to a small extent. passing is probably slightly more valuable in triangle than in motion, at least relative to ball handling.
also, i'd consider not running the press. with good def, man defense might be the way to go. but if you are locked into the press, then just make sure you are filling your scholarships every time and have high quality stamina. playing the press and motion together is tough - both require you to have a high focus on that set, generally playing either requires them to be the first focus. if you get it right, its extremely powerful, but its also extremely difficult to do.
