I have my eye on a couple of promising guys that were drafted by another team last year and not signed. I offered a minor league deal w/STI, and I received back this: "Another franchise with a few more holes at my client's position has made a similar offer. Since my client is hoping to play at the big league level, he's got to go where his chances are the best. We aren't signing immediately, so there's still time for you to increase your offer."
Since I can't offer a bonus or increase the salary, what else can I do to increase the offer? Give him a nice locker? Free lap dances at the local strip club? Offer to put his photo on the media guide?
