Ok, I understand that playing time helps improve player growth.  What is the min amount of playing time a player has to see for that growth to happen?  For example, in GD, if you put a player in for just one play in the first half, and he is listed as a starter, that's all the game time needed and that player will grow as is he played the entire game.  How does this work in HD.

Also, how long does a player need to to be in each division of the minors before he can move up and it doesn't stunt their growth?

Lastly, if you demote a player, will his work ethic suffer and he won't grow as quickly?  I'm already seeing some AAA players that I think will do good in the Majors but I first need to demote a few.  What is the best way to demote a player, remove him from the 40 man?

Thx guys!!

You're going to get a dozen different answers.

Personally, I want my legit prospects in AAA when I have to put them on the 40(their 4th season).    There's any number of ways for that to happen.
1-RL/LoA
2-HiA
3-AA
4-AAA
Sometimes they get sent to AAA halfway thru their third season if I had to start them in HiA because of coaching.  You'll figure out what works best for you.

If you demote a player before ST games start, they won't suffer a demotion hit.   Any time after that, they are subject to a hit.   Some people think this is a big deal, others say "It's 2 points.  Not going to kill his career."   You have to decide what works for you.

I haven't draft any players yet so I wasn't sure how the process works or even what level the drafts will be at when drafted.  I've only got 14 games under my belt this season but I can see a few I want to dump and a few I want to promote.  Just not sure how and what is the best way to do both.  I just want to max out the growth of the players I want to keep and dump the dead weight.

You'll get max progression as long as they play with halfway decent coaches and don't spend more than a season at any given level.  And always promote guys after the last game of the ML regular season, since they might get an extra ratings bump going into rollover.
