Sim AI in Low D1 Topic

Just finished conference play in Tark in the Big Sky conference.  I could not figure any rhyme or reason to which Sim AI squads would beat who and when.  I lose to a total of 6 Sim AI teams this season, some of them pretty decent, others pretty horrible.  At the same time, I beat a few of the better ones.  Home/Away seemed to play a big part, but not always.  At any rate, in our conference, Sim AI seemed to be unusually strong this season.

Before the onslaught begins, I'll admit than none of the human teams were especially strong, but several of the game results were just mind-boggling.  Hopefully this was a rare season and not the way things will be working going forward.

Anyone else notice this in their conference?

Although, I've noted that low/mid D1 has cleared out in a major way since seble started implementing changes, so there may not be many coaches left to speak on this.  When I joined the Big Sky, the conference was almost fun.  There are three of us left.  I think the best all either quit, or maybe a few dropped down to lower levels.

All of the solid sim ai's in your conference had upperclassmen (as many as half a dozen) recruited by human coaches, and all had talent that was as least as good as yours, if not better. Only one game that you lost to a sim that stands out is the last game of the regular season.

Yeah low/mid D1 has been hard hit by the change in recruit generation.  It remains to be seen if a C prestige Butler type team can win with the new recruit system the way they did my world (allen) where the Mtn West, the Big Sky, the Horizon and the Ivy league (2!) had NT winners in the last 10 seasons.

Thanks reinsel.

The issue is not really one particular team or conference, but about a trend more generally.

Looks like Sim AI is going to win the conference!  All four remaining teams are Sim AI.  I wonder what he will do with the reward points?
