Unfortunatly they are looking for someone with more loyalty......Every single division 1 school has that comment for me.....Every Div 2 school says lateral......What is the point.....?  How many years do you have to stay at one school?    And some schools needing a coach are horrible so can anyone give some pointers on how this works or do you just have to keep coaching at the same school for x number of years...

addyyy - the general rule is you have to stay at a d2 school for 4 years to amass a good enough loyalty to move to a small d1 program.

You may not have enough wins, especially enough postseason success, to get to d1 in Wooden. if that's your goal, do not go lateral within d2. One more good season should get you a mediocre job (D/D-), a very good season (get to 100+ wins overall, make a Sweet 16 or so) gets you a slightly less mediocre one.

If you get the turnaround at Hawaii Pacific, make the NT (maybe the PT), you'll likely be able to move up there.
