I'd stash him in AAA and call him up for a spot start here and there when injuries/fatigue hit hard.  But his splits (esp the 47 vr) are very weak, and his pitches aren't that great either.  I'd try to use him as sparingly as possible.

Long man, at best.  If you use him in your rotation, you'll be slaughtered.

He'd never be in my rotation. Unless it was a total rebuild. And that's only b/c he's cheap.

In the majors he'll continue to do what he's done the past 2 seasons in the majors...ERA around 5.50, mainly due to his splits.

If his splits were reversed, he might be almost serviceable with a good defense behind him. But I would expect a lot more of what he's already done in the majors (which isn't good). He is cheap and he's got options, so he's not a bad pickup per se. Just don't use him in the majors unless it's a short-term emergency and you don't have any other options.

He is a AAA pitcher.  You should plan to have at least 6 or 7 SP's better than him.
