Did you know that only about 1/3 of the players/seasons listed in the catalouge have ever been used?  (Actually, I have a feeling that the numbers I am refering to apply to the last year)  Let's put a dent into that number.

Eligible Players:

Step 1: Download and unzip www.whatifsports.com/db/nba_salaries.zip.
Step 2: Find the column labled Usage Count.  As far as I can tell, this is the amount of times a player has been used in the last (A:month  B:Year?  C:Active?  D:Ever?).  You may use any player/season for players that have not been used in this time frame.  No players are specifically banned, but, if you want to use Allen Iverson, for example, it will have to be his 96-97,97-98, 08-09 or 09-10 season.  According to this spreadsheet put out by WIS, all others have already been used.

Everyone has, of course, been waiting for the new players to come out, and this league will not start until that happens, but everyone will only be able to select 1 player from the 2009-10 season.  I hope that this league will have a lot less overlap than other leagues, but I think that unlimited use of 2009-10 season players will spoil that.

I can be talked out of using the WW if people think it will be too hard to police, but you may only pick up players who are eligible for the league using the WW.  You will still only be able to carry 1 player from the 2009-10 season after any WW transactions are complete however.
