Hi Guys,

Quick question, I drafted a guy in the first round who said he probably wouldn't sign. He asked for 8.5 million and I offered it to him and then he rejected my first offer of 8.5 million and is now asking for 11.4 million. If I don't negiotiate with him any more, am I now going to get a Type D pick for him?  This is big because I dont' have enough to sign him and my other 2 type B picks, so basically I have to choose between him or 2 other 1st round picks.       Thanks.

If he is a true first rounder, not a previous type D pick, then you will get a comp pick for him.

Yes, you only need to meet his initial demand to get compenstaion.

Once you get an [X] beside his name, as long as you don't offer his next request, you're good for a Type D next season.
