quick rookie question on rule 5 draft Topic

is there a way to just tell the system to draft the best players available, regardless of position?

for example, can i just set "any" to "5" and set the rest of the positions to "0"?

PS. and what is player rank?  Is that the overall rating?

Yes.  That's what you do, and they'll draft according to the order you set.

I'll typically have a cut-off at the X number of players I can actually see making my ML club.

The "player rank" is the cut-off iain is referring to.  If you set that to 5, it won't draft anyone outside of your top 5 players you set.
