I would like to ask if anyone has any experiences playing a team who shoots the majority of the shots from 3 point land. The guards are at 90-100 percent from there and they get most of the distribution as well as play fastbreak.  Is +3 enough to reduce the percentage made or do i have to go more and if i go +4 or +5 how much does that hurt me down low.  Speed is about the same overall but im weaker at the guard spots by 10 points on average.  Any ideas would be appreciated.

I think you are asking for trouble if you ask slower guards to chase guys out on the perimeter - wont get there and will leave guys open inside too

i play a press shouldnt i be trapping the ball at all times anyway wherever they are...my question i guess is does the positioning matter when using a press and if so does anyone have any examples?  Thanks

the engine still makes adjustments at halftime when running the press so i was wondering what the advantages and disadvantages are especially if the guys always shooting the threes dont pass?

In my experience, playing a plus defense can be effective, but........I don't feel like it's as effective with the new engine as it should be.  And as Mets said, if your guards are slower than his, it might be a recipe for disaster.

**Edit**---tough call on this one.  Over half his shots are from three point range, which would automatically (for me) mean playing an extended plus defense.  However, even though the speed of the guards is fairly similar, his IQ's seem to be a lot better.  In other words, between the IQ's and the FCP, you could end up in foul trouble quickly which would mean more minutes for your youngsters.  That would be bad.  What I would "probably" do in this situation is to try to slow the game down to limit the possessions (and possibly help slow his FB offense) and try to keep my guys out of foul trouble.  And given his tendencies, I'd take the chance running about a +3 or +4 and hope he has a bad night from the perimeter.  Just one man's opinion.........and by no means am I even close to being an HD expert.  Slightly better than mediocre would be more like it!!

if plus does have you chase further from the basket - which I think it does - then doing so with slower guys is risky
