Seasons with new recruits? Topic

Is anyone, anywhere, keeping track of how many seasons have been played in various worlds with the new recruit generation?

I'm interested in Tark (4th season?), Rupp (2nd season?) and Crum (2nd season?). I'm just guessing and may have over-estimated. I'm sure others would want to know for sure about other worlds as well.

I know in Rupp D-II, I have 10 Fr-Soph. and I am just getting tattooed!

I believe Smith, in the NT now,  has  almost  completed it's 3rd season with the new recruits.

I think Rupp and Crum got caught changing over a season just before the switch and may be the least advanced. Not sure, though.

In Allen, season 3 just ended and we start recruiting for season 4 on Saturday after the week of coaching changes.

Naismith switched over between Season 44 and Season 45...we're midway through Season 47 right now.

In IBA div II I have 2 jr and 0 SR. We just made it to the 2nd round of the nt before losing to a pretty good team. For the new 'no talent' recruits we seemed to be doing just fine. We won the CT and our conf was ranked #1 all year.

I might be wrong but i think knight is going into the 5th season with the new recruits (recruiting is going on now)

Phelan is in it's 4th season.

If D1 recruiting was more realistic maybe it wouldn't be turning into a ghost town. I can find guys at the local grocery store with better skills than a top 50 recruit. Way too large of a gap between 1 and 50. I can see 1-10 being studs but 11-50 and 51-100 shouldn't be that much of a drop-off as their currently is. I'm probably dropping back to D2 or just dropping out of my D1 worlds. Very frustrating. I use to enjoy recruiting and still do at D2,3 but cringe when its time for D1 recruiting.

To the extent that there are more battles, i think that's probably more realistic and a good thing.  Except when you get poached at the end.  Is there a bonus for offering a scholarship earlier in the process?  I don't think another school shoudl get to come in with x+1 dollars worth of effort and knock another school off that's been on the kid for several cycles.

I still think people greatly exaggerate the gap in talent. Maybe some guys in the top 50 don't look very good but there are guys ranked in the 100s that are better than guys in the top 50 but coaches of A+ schools are too stubborn to look that far down.

There is no such thing as poaching during recruiting.......Just saying.  If the recruit got taken late, you just left yourself too vulnerable.  Not criticizing because it happens to me all the time, just stating the reality of the situation.  Now, back to the original topic........

Knight has completed 4 or 5 seasons with the new recruits.  Last year there was 1 3-seed from outside the big 6 who I know made the Final Four, 1 4-seed, 2 5-seeds, 2 6-seeds, 3 7-seeds, 3 9-seeds, 1 10-seed, 3 11-seeds, and 3 12-seeds.  Add in 14 of the bottom 16 seeds and you get a total of 33 non-big-6 schools.  That's 29 of 72 big 6 schools getting in and only 12 more small-conference teams getting in than the minimum conference champions.  I have no idea how full D1 is, so I can't really speak to what those numbers mean.  I'm sure the people who don't like the recruiting system will be happy to jump on them without knowing what ratio of human coaches inside and outside of the power conferences got in.  If someone wants to do a full analysis it would be nice...
