Knight has completed 4 or 5 seasons with the new recruits. Last year there was 1 3-seed from outside the big 6 who I know made the Final Four, 1 4-seed, 2 5-seeds, 2 6-seeds, 3 7-seeds, 3 9-seeds, 1 10-seed, 3 11-seeds, and 3 12-seeds. Add in 14 of the bottom 16 seeds and you get a total of 33 non-big-6 schools. That's 29 of 72 big 6 schools getting in and only 12 more small-conference teams getting in than the minimum conference champions. I have no idea how full D1 is, so I can't really speak to what those numbers mean. I'm sure the people who don't like the recruiting system will be happy to jump on them without knowing what ratio of human coaches inside and outside of the power conferences got in. If someone wants to do a full analysis it would be nice...
