I have not read this anywhere but is there a difference between resting a player and puttting him on the DL if he is injured. I understand if it is a long term injury, putting him on the DL to bring up another player but what if the injury is only 15-20 days or so. Is there a ratings difference between the two? I have done it both ways any haven't seen any differece. Just wanting some other views on the issue. Thanks.

If he took a ratings hit with the injury, he has no chance for an injury recovery bump if not placed on the DL.   Other than that, no, it makes no difference.

Not true. I had a guy suffer a 223 day injury on his first pitch for my team. He was in the minors so instead of DL'ing him I simply put him on rest and waited it out. I had a ton of high stamina guys so the injury didn't really hurt me. He recovered all but a point here and there before returning to full health and has since reached his projected ratings in most categories and is yet to stop progressing so he may even surpass what his projections are.

I believe that is a bug and I believe WifS said they addressed it.  If that is an on-going situation, it's pretty apparent that they did not.

Can you direct me to where they said this? I have never read anything that says that if you don't DL someone they will not recover from an injury. I checked a few spots just now as well and could not find anything. Maybe they treat players that have already hit projections differently than they do young players still improving? I don't know but I would like to.

I don't really know who started the thread or what it was titled.  But it was a problem like the training bug.

There is definitely a medical bug right now for long term injuries.  I have seen several players that were done progressing get hurt and come back better than before they got hurt.

Here is the link to the thread where the medical bug was discussed.  Admin has still not fixed the issue.

And there you have it.
