Player callup..send down..arb ? Topic

I called a player up for roster expansion. Played through the playoffs and the WS (I lost). Before the start of next season I plan to demote him and bring him back up after 20 or so games to push back his arb. Does the playoff and WS time mean I have to leave him down longer or is the 20 or so games still the rule regardless of playoff time? Also will he incur a demotion penalty?

Only regular season time counts towards arb.

If you demote before spring training starts, there should be no demotion penalty.
