Now this will not be a grip session, I took over a long time sim D1 program. Well I was trying to run before I knew how to walk. I was in over my head and It took me a while to understand the diffrences in the D1 game. recruiting was a tough lesson. but I have managed to learn a little more each season and I think I'm starting to understand the game a little better. But my lack of sucsess has me on he hot seat.

Last season I was 12-16 but started 3 freshman. I got a decent class last year and I think I can turn this around. My recruiting class last season landed me 5 players in all, 4 of them started every game last season. My recruiting class last season got me a message saying it was the #31 ranked class in the country.

of this group Lane Devito is the only none starter. I though he was a decent rebounder and I got him cheap enough to fill my roster and have some carryover.

Harry Phillips was a 3 star High Potential high work ethic guy. Started every game at the 3 as a freshman.

Sonny Thompson was a 2 star with a few high potential, and high work ethic guy. I started him every game last season at the 2, basicly because I promised starts and didnt expect to get Bailey.

Steven Bailey was a 3 star high potential with work ethic in the 80's. So I figured the sky was the limit. I was kinda shocked to land him. He started every game at the point his freshman year.

I also land a Juco center and he was a solid contributer at the 5 and started every game last season.

So heading into this season I had 1 scholly open but that is now 2 as I rescinded a scholly on a junior PG. My roster is below and I plan on recruiting a decent 2 and a decent 4 just to play the reserve rolls and try to carry over cash into next season, If i get another season.

just looking for any advice on starters and maybe distro. I play Fastbreak/ Press. Can I turn in a good year and save my job or did I land some good talent that I wont get to see develope. Thanks in advance for all the help and guidance.

I think you need to schedule non-SIM teams for a change.

With your schedule and conference you will either need to go undefeated or win the CT to get into the NT and save your job...it doesnt matter what your roster looks like, if youre scheduling all sims in a soft conference you will never have the RPI needed to not get canned.

Concur with the above re: scheduling, big mistake there. But I don't think you'll be fired after this season. Barring something disastrous, I'd bet against it.

I think the starters are pretty obvious: Bailey, Williams, Phillips, Trexler and Boynton.

actually I usually schedule 10 humans and I try to schedule as good as I can. This year the conferance is down and I was scheduling soft, looking for that huge win number, hoping that would save my job. actually I usually schedule to hard for myself to be able to compete. Last season I scheduled 4 top 25 teams in non conferance, and went 0-4, but I did however play clemson well. and hung in there for one half with Virginia.
