Uptempo vs. the press Topic

Quoting from the Player Guide, which I realize was written many moons ago, "uptempo tends to struggle more against the press."

A few queries based on this observation for folks to chime in on:

1. Assuming for the time being that the statement was true once upon a time under the old engine, does this statement still hold true under the new engine in folks' estimation given the changes in in-game fatigue rates?

2. If still true, in what ways does uptempo "struggle more"  -- more fouls given up? lower shooting percentages from the floor? more turnovers? quicker fatigue than uptempo vs. say, man-to-man? I guess to phrase it in a overall question, what strategic edge am I surrendering by going uptempo vs. a press?

3. Finally, again assuming that the statement retains merit, should it be taken as a thinly-veiled hint not to go uptempo against a pressing opponent? If tacing a team that I would normally run uptempo against if they were in a zone or man set, should that statement inspire me to simply run normal-speed if they come out in a press? What "extra factor(s)" should I take into account when deciding to if I want to go uptempo against a pressing team as opposed to zone/man teams (greater stamina advantage? speed advantage? athleticism? ball handling?)

I have some thoughts, but I'm wondering what others' views on the matter are.

That info may be out of date in the new engine.

When I have the speed/stamina/depth I actually prefer going uptempo vs. press teams to tire them out and with more possessions maybe get some guys in foul trouble. It also seems that many press teams are no longer running uptempo for the same reasons(stamina, fouling).

too much has changed, i was a huge believer in the statement in the old engine, but now feel the game has changed too much to make comparisons to then with respect to both uptempo and (especially) the press.

also, i wouldn't have said you should never run uptempo against the press in the old engine, just that you should never run uptempo against a team whose press is superior to your offense - keep in mind that with the quality of the press at that time, the 10th best press in the country might easily be superior to the #1 offense. my estimation (based on many outcomes) was that any team i played in the tournament over a year in which i was paying attention to stuff like that was that if the other team was running uptempo it halved their chances of winning. even potentially in cases when i was the underdog in the game. but that is not remotely true anymore.
