this is actually a question about next season - next year i think i want to move this year's freshman pg to my starting pg(Better speed) i was wondering if this year's starting point guard could make an effective small forward at d2.

Robert Warren Fr. PG 7 64 1 9 2 2 41 46 67 79 78 52 B- 448

is the guy i was considering moving to pg next season;  i think theriault being slower is causing me problems this year but i don't think warren is ready to take over.

or is it just me and theriault is actually being reasonably effective as a pg?

Never played D2 but if I had those guys for my D3 teams (which is reasonable for their stats) I would definitely take the JR over the Frosh. 10 spd tradeoff for 36 ath edge, not to mention that the FR can't defend anyone.
10/29/2010 1:05 AM
Keep Theriault at PG. Yes Theriault could play SF, but Warren should not be starting at PG.
10/29/2010 1:13 AM
not changing my lineup this year. . but with jones graduating would it be worth considering moving white to be a scoring pg and moving theriault to take over small forward and stick hughes in at shooting guard, or move hughes to sf and leave things the way they are?  i had the impression that i would be better off having my scoring guard be at sg, but i could be wrong.  trying to figure out a way to have a higher speed at pg.  or is theriault's speed ok for a starting pg?
11/1/2010 2:48 PM
I would just be really hesitant to play a player with that low of a def at a starting position.
11/1/2010 4:13 PM
No, White needs to stay at the 2. I don't know if I would ever have hughes in my starting lineup personally.
11/1/2010 6:13 PM
Theriault at PG, White at SG,  Hughes at SF, Kelleher at PF, and Courter at Center for next season.
11/2/2010 1:28 AM
Since you're running zone - I actually go with

Theriault/White/Kelleher/McKoan/Courter

but that's just how I roll.  At the very least I would go with -

Theriault/White/Jackson/Kelleher/Courter

mckoan is graduating.  i'm figuring out my lineup for next year so i can also figure out what to recruit.  the main position at question is sf.  kelleher is getting promoted to the starting lineup as mkkoan is graduating.
11/2/2010 7:34 AM
I use guards at the sf slot all the time with good success.
11/2/2010 4:12 PM
yeah I knew that.  So I play Jackson at SF.
11/2/2010 10:32 PM
I would not put Warren into your starting lineup -- poor def and ath will make him a real liability. I would stick with your current pg where he is and White at sg.
