It's happened, but I'm not sure which worlds.  IIRC, it happened when 2 worlds had 15+ openings each.

I may be mistaken but did Stargell and Monument Park combine to form Stargell @ Monument Park? I am in that world and I'm sure I read it somewhere that that's how that world was born but I could be mistaken. I think in the right scenario it could work out well.

Several times.   I seem to recall a silly amount of openings in S2 in several of them.   Seems that some of the owners with the super teams weren't so much attached to their team as they were to winning.   And, when their super team met other super teams, they weren't winning as much.

John Kruk is a prime candidate for contraction.  It's ridiculous how long those folks have been waiting it out.  Also, Moonlight Graham is a terrible world full of scumbag owners.  Lots of trade raping, shady transactions, constant arguing in the world chat.  WIS would be so much better off without these two worlds.
