A good comp for low durability out of a catcher and how much playing time you can get him. I'm in the AL with that team, so don't worry about pinch hitting too much, but I can get him about 160 at bats a year, probably up to 200 if I pushed it, but like him as my starting catcher in the playoffs.
You're guy has a better bat, and would be better suited for the NL in my mind, especially if you had a high durability catcher that could start every day, and allow you to use this guy as your main pinch hitter. He should be able to fit in 162 pinch hits a year if you used him for 1 at bat every day, but ideally (and realistically) he'd be good for about 100 pinch hit appearances, plus a handful of starts to rest your other catcher.
