#1 catcher, very good hitter but with low durability so need #2 catcher to play 40-45 games a season.  Who would be a better choice - catcher a with 760 ops and pitch calling at 52 or catcher b 670 ops but 82 pitch calling.  Will catcher b save enough runs with his pitch rating to offset his lower offense?

Good question.  What about the AS/AA?

If I have a C with low durability, I keep a defensive C on my bench with great pitch calling.  I use him late in games as a defensive replacement to help my bullpen and it helps save a little on my starting C's energy

AS/AA: Catcher a 69/62  catcher b 74/74

Assuming 150 - 200 PA's, nuetral park, 0 SB, 0 CS, I'd estimate the difference in runs created to be 3 or 4. Of course, the dreaded "small sample size" means anything is possible. I haven't found a way to quantify PC impact, but I would be willing to assume the 30 pt difference would be worth more than 3-4 runs. The better arm is just an added bonus.
