Stamina and Velocity Topic

Does stamina and velocity for a pitcher typically stay the same during the season?  I have noticed recently that during the season that stamina and velocity have not been changing for my pitchers.  Am I missing something, or do I have my money allotted in the wrong place, which may affect a pitchers' long term growth potential.

Physical skills, like those you mention, will not improve in-season.  Learned skills will.

When is it first noticeable to see those increases?  At the beginning of the following season?

Yes,upon rollover.

They can take a negative hit due to injury in-season.  During recovery from injury you may see them regain some of their lost points.

Does anyone know of a correlation between the training budget and how physical skills progress each year.  I've read the summary of what training is suppose to do for a team (minimize injury and slow the aging process), but is there the possibility that there is a link between training and the physical categories (Stamina, Velocity). I just wanted to see if anyone has run that scenario on any of their teams previously.

Thanks

Training should work on slowing down the degradation of physical skills (aging process)

You'll find that most experienced owners won't budget less than 15m for training.  Many max it out.  Personally, I believe it's directly tied to developing physical skills for prospects and slowing the aging process for vets.   Of course, if a player's true max stamina(not the projection you see) is 52, no amount of training will turn it into a 60.

For prospects:
Coaches=Learned/Skill Atrributes
Training budget = Physical Attributes (inc Range)

Changes to Mental ratings (makeup/patience etc) which happen at rollover i dont know, i would guess Training budget given the point in time the ratings change, but it seems a little unintuivtive, so im non-commital.

Given Training slows the decline of Vet's, it leads me to consider whether High coaching ratings slows the decline of learned/skill attributes in vets.

I've always worked under the assumption that good coaches help maintain the skill attributes for vets.

I'd never thought about it till i wrote that, but it made sense to me at the time to, once i actually considered it as a possibility.
