What should I set his pitch count at?  I've never used a guy with this low of a stamina.

I don't really understand, are you looking for comments?

He looks pretty good, but with 52 durability and 9 stamina you won't be getting many innings out of him.  I suppose that could make him a good closer, if he can get through the inning.

10-15.  I have a similar guy -- Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Brandon Mouton -- and he is set for 10/15.  Just finished the all-star break and he only has 17 innings pitched this season.  He usually throws 15 or more pitches per outing, and then needs a couple days of rest.  Even with the kid gloves he sometimes gets gassed and needs to be sat for a couple days.  Lot of work for a AA pitcher with limited upside.

Yeah, looks like I'll need to fill the closer role in free agency.

I would set his PC to 10-15 also and try and sign a similar guy as your closer B. It takes up two roster spots but you can probably get two guys like this cheaper than you can get one guy with 20ST and they should be able to do the same job. I've never tried it but in theory I think you would have alot of success.

Sure, they might be cheaper, but at the cost of two roster spots in which you will get maybe 60 IP, which will force you to possibly carry 12-13 pitchers.  I can't see wasting a roster spot on someone who usually can't even pitch one full inning.

I always carry 12 pitchers and normally have two or three that only get 40IP's so doing this instead in this particular situation wouldn't be a bad idea. It all depends on the situation but it would work if the configuration of the pitching staff is right.

I also always carry 11-12 pitchers -- the 5 SP's, 2 Long Relief guys, 2 setups, and 2 closers.  Sometimes a mopup pitcher as well.  This way, I have a 'primary' and 'secondary' pitcher for any situation, and no one tends to get down to 0.  It leaves the bullpen healthier for the end of the season also, and my primary closer still notches up about 30-36 saves.  Carrying only 4-5 hitters on the bench has always been enough for me, if they are the right guys and you rotate them in and out as needed -- a catcher, a SS, a infield guy and outfield guy.
