Not all of us are cool enough for iPhones. Topic

I have a blackberry curve and would absolutely love to be able to adjust my teams while I'm on the fly. I can access my team's pages with the browser on my phone, but that is pretty much the extent. Since WIS doesn't have a mobile site, I was wondering if anyone out there knows any Jedi mind tricks that I can use on my phone to get it to overlook that tiny detail.

The reward for any help will be cake!!!

Well, if no jedi mind tricks, then what about a petrolis spell?

Blackberry is greater than the iphone. Though it will be cool to use my blackberry for recruiting though.

Bet I end up like Kelvin Sampson.

Haha, no doubt, kelvin sampson loves texting more than my 14 year old cousin. Salag, do you know how to change your team's settings from your blackberry? I mostly wanna be able change my line-ups and distros as needed.

What browser are you using?  I had a curve a couple years ago and was able to do all of my recruiting/gameplanning from Opera's mobile browser once I downloaded it onto my blackberry.

I'm jus using the default browser that was installed on the phone. If its not to difficult I would totally be willing to switch browsers. How does one go about doing such a thing. I feel stupid asking, but I'm honestly not a complete tech idiot.

Ah ha, a little research never hurt anyone. If this works then everybody is getting some cake, but especially you, good sir.

The opera browser is running smoothly, now I just need to figure out how to access the drop down box under the office tab instead of selecting the office page in general. So close, yet so far away.

as an absolute worst case solution because the drop downs are hard to hit, you can go to each page you want (recruiting, team game plan, player game plan, etc) and then copy and paste the address from your browser on your computer into an email.  then email all those addresses to yourself in one email.  save the email and click on each link directly from the email to navigate to and from individual pages for your team.  it will take you to each page when you click on each one.  it's a bit easier if you label each link so you know what page it is easily.  kind of like this:

(Practice Plan) http://www.whatifsports.com/hd/office/PracticePlan.aspx

(Team Game Plan) http://www.whatifsports.com/hd/office/TeamGamePlan.aspx

so when you want to access different pages for your team, you use the email you sent yourself as your main HD Office interface.  save the email in a folder on your BB and go straight to the email instead of the locker page on whatifsports.com

i think the only hiccup is that for multiple teams you will need to go into the browser and click on the office/world of the team you want to plan for first, then when you click the email it will take you to that world/team by default.  you'll have to go back to the main locker page and click on the next team before moving on to gameplanning for the next one.

i did this a couple years ago with my BB and it worked great - not sure if they have made any changes to how you get to your teams various pages, but give it a shot.

Yea - as far as the drop downs, you're kind of SOL there.  It's a problem with the type of menu that WIS is using for their top nav bar - it just isn't friendly for mobile browsers.

To play off of jjboogie's idea, there's probably something easier than going from email - browser - email - browser.  Use his idea of going to each individual page (PracticePlan.aspx, TeamGamePlan.aspx, etc), but just mark each page as a bookmark from within Opera.  Then you'll still have to switch worlds from the locker page, but then your navigation will all be handled from within Opera at least and you won't have to keep switching between applications.  It may take some getting used to, but once you're comfortable with it I'd imagine you wouldn't have many problems.  The main setup is just the biggest hurdle as you'll have to find each page address.

Here are the main pages you'll want access to I'd imagine:

Depth Chart: http://www.whatifsports.com/hd/office/DepthChart.aspx
Practice Plan: http://www.whatifsports.com/hd/office/PracticePlan.aspx
Team Game Plan: http://www.whatifsports.com/hd/office/TeamGamePlan.aspx
Player Game Plan: http://www.whatifsports.com/hd/office/PlayerGamePlan.aspx
FSS: http://www.whatifsports.com/hd/recruiting/Scouting.aspx
Recruit Search: http://www.whatifsports.com/hd/recruiting/Search.aspx
Player Ratings: http://www.whatifsports.com/hd/rankings/PlayerRatings.aspx
Team Ratings: http://www.whatifsports.com/hd/rankings/TeamRatings.aspx

Those are the pages I'd want bookmarked, at least.

**Edit: You can actually still change worlds from the world switcher drop down at the top right of the main page, so you wouldn't have to go back to the locker each time to flip between worlds.  Makes for a few less clicks.
