Distro Question (Primary Scorer) Topic

I've heard about a change that went in to reduce the effectiveness of a single primary scorer when his distro is jacked way up, but can't find any official mention of it in the forums.

Can someone point me in a direction where I can find some details on the update? Preferably with specific numbers (e.g., effectiveness begins to diminish at X distro or X% of total shots). Thanks!

I don't think this is true.  There's always been diminishing returns, i.e. the higher the distro, the less efficient the scoring.  As to specific numbers, I believe it's a continuous curve -- you just have to figure out where you're comfortable on it for each player.

Jeff - it was part of the new engine update. I cant remember the specifics but I believe a material reduction in effectiveness began at 50%.

I cant get to the test world forums to confirm.

the change was to reduce the effectiveness of a player when he takes 50% of the shots while he is on the floor. so that would only be roughly 25% of total shots if he was playing half the game.

also, the penalty doesn't kick in until after a player has taken 5 shots. so that helps with the random variance that would often see a player take 3 of the first 4 shots or whatever, and there is no penalty there.

Huh -- didn't know that.  Thanks!!
