Is it possible to overcome a rejection from a recruit through scouting trips and other pull down techniques?

That is, a recruit "slams" the phone on you, or says, anyone other than your school leave a message, etc., can you turn them around with things they can't reject or is it impossible?

Best way to overcome rejection is to find a shiny new recruit with big breasts and is 20 years younger than your old recruit.

Or to get extremely drunk off of boxed wine. Your choice.
