Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Hank Bryne

Right the scenario is:

Hank above is penciled into the lineup.
I have 3 C on my AAA roster at Active and a 4th at Inactive.
Simmy keeps playing Hank at will.
His Autorerst number is 99, the other guys were both available at 100.
Hank is 3rd in the Rest Hierarchy.

Why is simmy running Hank into the ground, or is the AI, ignoring the Autorest settings?

 Why don't you just place him on the inactive roster?

I would take him out of the rest heirarchy. Also, make sure the others are set to "bench" rather than "rest".
Thats all I can think of.

With 8(!) durability, I think taking a dump would run him into the ground.  And he's not catching, according to the stats, he's DHing.

Well you don't have to worry about that guy any more.

You're a genius.

You could always set the Mgmt Console so that you handle lineups at AAA and not simmy. I do this with my AAA pitchers all the ime. Then you can fine-tune all you want. But 8 DUR? What does he get...20 ABs a season?

I've never gotten that part of the game to work correctly. It seems like auto-rest doesn't do anything when you let the same manage your minor league.

Thats partly what im curious about, with 8 Dur even simmy should know he shouldnt be in the lineup, but he runs him into the grond.

As a side note, that's got to be the best 31 rated player I've ever seen.

Is he 3rd in the rest hierarchy for DH or for C? Make certain you have the DH spots filled out also, with one (or two) of your bench options ahead of him as DH. Also check player settings and make sure the Allow Player Rest box is checked.
