I must be dumb(still new to HBD)but I have not been able to figure out how to offer a contract extension to a pkayer currently on ML roster-can someone explain how to do that?

You can offer extensions only to those players who are in the last year of their contract (and, thus, not players who have not yet reached arbitration or those who are in their first two arb seasons).

To do this, go to Contracts > Free Agent Report, select your team and go one season into the future. You will be able to negotiate with your eligible players there, although some players will not be willing to sign extensions for a variety of reasons.
