Type A FA question regarding 16th pick Topic

I have the 16th pick in the draft, will I forfeit this if I sign a type A FA or does it start at 17?

Starts at the 17th natural (i.e. non-type-D) pick.

Your #16 pick should be safe.

So if you have the 17th pick, but there is a type D before your pick, your pick is safe?
