We will first hold a 5 round snake style draft of any player you want and we will call these 5 players Franchise Players. Franchise Players will start in their rookie season and progress until they retire. If they have an injury/missing season they will go on IR for that season. You cannot cut/drop Franchise Players til they play their last sim season and then they retire. Retired Franchise Players are then banned from this league. You can only have 12 active players on your roster but unlimited players on IR.
We will second hold a 7 round snake style draft from the (80-81) season and we will call these players Season Players. The Season Players draft will be a seperate draft from the Franchise Players draft but we will start it like it is snaking back around to the 6th round the first season. All players are exclusive so there will only be one instance of each player in this league at all times so you cannot draft any Franchise Players that exists in the (80-81) Season Players draft . For example if Larry Bird is drafted in the Franchise Players draft he cannot be drafted in the Season Players draft. The second season will progress into the (81-82) season for the Season Players and will continue to progress in this order. You can cut Season Players in between seasons at any time in their careers. Season Players are NOT banned from this league if they get cut or retire but are banned if they eventually get drafted as a Franchise Player and then retire.
The first draft will be decided with a random draw so good luck. Starting in the second season all Franchise Players drafts will be worst to first (league champ being last pick) in the first round then snake style there after if necessary. The only time you will draft Franchise Players is when you have a Franchise Player retire so there will be seasons we won't hold a Franchise Players draft.
Starting in the second season all Season Players drafts will be first to worst (league champion being first pick) in the first round then snake style there after to make this league as competitive as possible.
Franchise Players drafts will always be done first and Season Players drafts will always be second.
No rookies, no clones, no WW, $100 mil. salary, no trades unless Im convinced otherwise! Less complicated.
This should be an incredible league so lets get it started quickly. It should be better than any Pro league out there!
