ive always coached at d3 so i never had to worry about them. this is my first year in d2 and i signed one and was wondering what are the chances theyll show up to campus and if they dont and go juco will i have an upper edge on recruiting the kid again next year?

I would say chances of arriving are about 70%.

If they go juco you will get some effort carryover, maybe 25% of the effort you put in this year.

But you have zero control on where they go juco, so they could be 1000 miles away.

ok thanks

the 70% could increase/decrease based on the amount of effort you put in

thanks jet for the aweful news

im usually really busy, so i miss a lot of cycles in the recruiting process. i recruited him in the morning and put 1200-1500 into him in one cycle and when i came home last night he had signed.

does this mean gpa does not matter in d3?

In D3, every player just needs to keep his GPA over 2.0 during the season to be eligible to play.

This means during recruiting we can still recruit ineligibles, with the understanding that we might have to put in some extra minutes in study hall to keep them eligible.

Yes

I have been signing alot of ineligibles lately.  I have found that even with all those SH minutes I will still get guys with slightly low gpa's at midterm.  So I started leaving 3 or 4 minutes in some other category to start with and then move them into SH if they need it after midterms.
