I have been thinking of this theme for awhile....Let's give it a shot....

Year One begins with an Initial Draft, all players in the WIS system are eligible. The catch is, when you draft that person you draft their career and must begin with their first year in the WIS and then the next year and so forth. (The first year they have stats in the WIS is the first year that must be used on your Roster). You will Draft 25 players, along with 4 AAA Players...(29 Players to begin the first year)...  The initial year draft will be random, following years will be based on record with last place picking first and so on....

Year Two is where it really gets fun...all players drafted in Year One are property of that team unless they are dropped and become free agents. All Undrafted players are also Free Agents. Players in Year One automatically are advanced to Year 2 of their careers, regardless if they are on your roster or a Free Agent. Players that were not drafted in Year One, can be drafted as Free Agents, but begin their careers as First Year WIS Stats... Each year after would continue the same way ie. Year One players would advance to Year 3 of their career, Year 2 Players to Year Two of their careers, and all undrafted players would begin with their Rookie Seasons. ...and so

Here's the Kicker...Each Team is given a budget of 100 years, ie the number of years you declare that you want a player on your roster when you draft him is his contract purchase price and is deducted from your 100. Ie if you want Nolan Ryan for only 10 years of his career then 10 years is deducted from your 100 year budget. Each year you start with 100 years as your yearly budget. The following year Ryan would have 9 years left on his contract and 9 years would be deducted from your 100 year budget. Any player cut who is under contract, would have to be drafted and signed for the minimal amount of years left on his contract or more up to you.

NO DH....

Trades allowed... 1 year in advance for Draft Picks. Contracts/Years left transfer as well.

I think this would be fun....
